Copies in a Flash accepts most industry standard design
applications which have been specifically developed for efficient high
quality output. There are numerous inexpensive design applications available
at many department stores and office supply stores which are meant for
the home user but not suited to professional printing purposes. These applications are a good low cost solution for
creating general purpose design for printing on
standard consumer grade bubble jet or laser printers where
professional quality is not paramount. However, these applications do not have
the capabilities necessary to produce professional, high-quality, high-precision
output or separations on commercial imagesetting equipment such as that
which is utilized
at Copies in a Flash.
Often, when files created by these types of applications are
submitted to Copies in a Flash, they require a great deal of pre-press
work to manipulate, adjust, correct and at times, completely rebuild the document in order to make
it print-ready. This is especially so with documents requiring
spot-color separations. This translates to slow turnaround for your
project, and possible surcharges for prepress time.
File
types which typically do not work well for producing color separations and
commercial grade imagesetting equipment include:
•
Microsoft Picture It
•
Printmaster
•
